One of the most versatile music and visual art studio's in the Florence, Darlington and Hartsville area, Christabelle Conservatory generates energy and excitement among parents and students. Private lessons are offered in the Black Creek Arts Center, in our studio located between Florence and Darlington, and studios just outside of Hartsville.
This dynamic music and art program has been designed by a professional teacher, performer and artist with many years of experience.
Christabelle Conservatory specializes in vocal lessons for operatic, rock and popular styles as well as traditional and broadway, piano and classical guitar instruction , classes in music theory, painting and drawing. We also provide music for weddings , corporate and social events. We will work with you well before your event date to understand your preferences and help you plan the perfect music.

                          LESSONS ARE OFFERED FOR AGES 4-ADULT

Caroline Flud-Mozingo was a pupil of the  Cortot Lineage, a line of pianists starting with Chopin.

She studied piano performance with 
    Dana Harris Dixon, who was a 
Fulbright Scholar and a pupil of the 
renowned Yvonne Lefebure, one of the premier and most celebrated
French pianists and teachers of the 20th century.  Lefebure was a teacher at the 
Paris Conservatory, and a pupil of the Swiss born French pianist Alfred Cortot.

Alfred Cortot was also a teacher at the Paris Conservatory and a distinctive 
figure in the pianistic pantheon.  His teacher was a student of Frederic Chopin.

  As a prolific recording artist and controversial virtuoso, Alfred Cortot
changed the face of Romantic pianism.

              Mrs. Flud-Mozingo is a special lecturer, teacher and performer

                   of the French Piano School.  Including Debussy, Chopin, 

 Ravel and Georges Auric, among others. Her repertoire also includes works by

 Beethoven, Mozart, Schumann, Rachmaninoff, Scarlatti, Schubert, Brahms

 and Bach.  Her teacher, Dana Dixon was also a pupil of Rosina Lhevinne 

 at the Julliard School of Music, making Caroline the eighth in a line of 

pianists who scroll directly back to Beethoven and Czerny.

As winner of a full award, the Louise Amis Lawton Scholarship in 

Piano Performance, Caroline Mozingo studied for 4 years with Dana Dixon

and graduated from Coker College with a B.A. in Piano Performance in 1983. Her 

graduate studies were also done with Dana H. Dixon through a graduate teaching

certificate program offered at Coker College during his career at Coker. Her other 

graduate work includes American Institute, N.Y.  Masterclasses with Lauren 

Withers, ( Winthrop University), and Masterclasses/private lessons, Paris 

Conservatory. She has attended masterclasses studying under  Eric Larsen, 

Eduardo Delgado and Constance Knox Carroll, featured renowned artists for the 

Piano Clinics held at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. 

Mrs. Flud-Mozingo is a composer, songwriter and a visual artist.  From 1999 until 2006, she was the art instructor and director of the art classes for the
Florence Fine Arts Academy, as well as a music instructor there.

    In 1983, Mrs. Mozingo was selected to pioneer the first
  teaching studio located in a music store for Florence, S.C.
  at Greer Music House. She later moved her studio to
  Andy Owings Music Center which was in the Magnolia
 Mall, Florence.
